Storytelling is an art and a skill that, when effectively utilized within organizations, can be a powerful tool for navigating change. Stories can influence mindset and perspective, create buy-in, mobilize around a vision, and inspire and motivate action. At the heart of any change process is the need for mindset and behavior change. Ultimately, storytelling helps leaders change the way their teams think, which is a critical step in shifting the way teams act. In this interactive workshop, we will:
Discuss the value and purpose of storytelling in organizational leadership.
Learn methods, formats, and tips for effective stories.
Identify strategies for strengthening your internal organizational storytelling muscle.
Note:In this workshop, we will be focusing on the value and practice ofinternalorganizational storytelling to inspire change within your teams. We will not be talking about storytelling for external audiences (i.e. how you telling your story to your community and stakeholders, branding, marketing language, etc.)
